Developing
and
Implementing a Balanced Scorecard system for a leading pharmaceutical
Company.
Business
Imperative:
The
Exco of a leading pharmaceutical
company found
that their monthly committee meetings
were spent reviewing historical sales and operational issues from
sales and the market place without a framework
to monitor strategy implementation.
Complication:
Despite
an excellent strategy formulation
process there was not a format to assess non financial or predictive
drivers of
business success or leading indicators of successful strategy
implementation.
Solution:
Together
with
his Team in Business Planning and Development, John led a series
of workshops in the development and
implementation methodology of the Balanced Scorecard throughout the
company.
Impact/Outcome:
Divisional
Directors and their Teams
completed input data and the Exco
Committee meetings were driven by a strategic rather than an
operational agenda
Testimonial:
“The
Balanced Scorecard implementation
developed by the South African subsidiary is the best that I have seen
in the
company globally”
Regional
Director who went on the become the CEO of one of the world’s
largest
pharmaceutical companies.
